With Thanksgiving two short days away, I have not only been pining to gather with my family, but I’ve also been reflecting on the many things, people, and experiences I am thankful for. Included in my “thankful-fors” is my work this past year with the Enable Savings Plan. Some of the advancements I have been thankful for include:

I am thankful for Enable’s mission. Our team believes that everyone should have access to financial independence, and we continue to make it our mission to help individuals with disabilities save, spend and earn money just like everyone else.

I am thankful for Enable’s growth. Since launching in June 2016, Enable has garnered account owners across the country and has even launched a plan specific to Alabama to allow more individuals with disabilities the opportunity to save for short- and long-term expenses. In addition, Enable continues to enact useful and innovative features such as the Enable Checking Option, a newer option for account owners that allows them to spend and save seamlessly.

I am thankful for Enable’s impact. I have seen firsthand the positive effects it has had on the lives of so many individuals with disabilities and their families. Now, account owners can save up to $100,000 without worry of compromising their public benefits like Medicaid and SSI. Enable is not just a savings account program, it is also a life-changing opportunity for peace of mind, inclusion, and independence.

I am thankful for Enable’s Future. The passion and dedication behind Enable is exactly why it has been successful, and why it continues to grow, changing lives along the way. I am grateful for everything that I have learned working with Enable, and look forward to meeting more account owners and their families in the future.

From the Enable family to yours, we would like to wish you a Happy Thanksgiving. We are grateful for your involvement and support this year, and for many years to come. Why are you thankful for Enable? Share your story on our Facebook wall.
